R&D

Technology built through government‑funded research

Centered on our Corporate R&D Center, we have carried out more than 10 government‑funded research projects and built autonomous navigation and AI‑powered integrated control technology in‑house.

Ongoing projects

We are carrying out two government‑funded projects: advancing AI‑powered integrated control, and shipbuilding automation.

01

AI‑based integrated control and predictive maintenance system for AGV/AMR logistics automation

In progress

The project collects and standardizes operational data from many AGVs and AMRs of different types in real time. It validates a standard solution that minimizes unplanned downtime through AI‑powered integrated control and predictive maintenance.

Quantitative project targets
5+ typesIntegrated collection of operational and sensor data
90%+Data standardization rate
≤5%Monthly unplanned downtime rate
80%+Failure prediction accuracy

Mid‑to‑long‑term roadmap
Year 1
Building the validation foundationAn integrated collection system for operational and sensor data and a standard data model; development and field validation of the AI integrated control platform and anomaly detection and predictive maintenance models
Year 2
Advancing capabilitiesAI‑based dispatching and dynamic route optimization, more accurate predictive maintenance models, upgrades for existing customers
Year 3
Autonomous operation · commercializationEvolving into an AI operating platform with autonomous decision‑making, expanding integration with heterogeneous robots and automation equipment, and growing in Korean and global markets
02

Insulation panel automation system for Korean membrane cargo tanks

In progress

We are developing and validating equipment that reorients heavy insulation panels in LNG cargo tanks and transports them within and between levels. AMR‑based robots replace manual heavy‑load work, with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries participating as the end‑user company.

Organization

Research organization and infrastructure

From hardware design to control software and on‑site deployment, we validate everything within a single organization.

Corporate R&D Center

Since our R&D Center was founded in 2008, we have developed robot control, autonomous navigation, vision AI and integrated control technologies, and in 2024 we launched a dedicated Physical AI task force.

In‑house test facility

Before delivery to a real site, we verify performance with scenario‑based tests in our own facility. Hardware, control software and operating logic can be refined together, again and again, in one place.

  • Travel, stopping, charging and safety sensors verified in‑house
  • Scenario‑based performance testing before delivery
  • ACS fleet operation — real‑time monitoring of the location, tasks and status of multiple vehicles
  • Dispatching, routing and intersection traffic control verified by simulation
